The Appledore trading ketch "Hobah" lies at anchor off Clovelly. As the early morning sun rises above the hills the mate has rowed ashore to the village shop to buy fresh eggs for breakfast. The mist is lifting and a gentle breeze wafts the smoke from the galley stove. When the breeze increases they will haul up the anchor and point the bow into the seas of the Bristol Channel to continue their voyage.
